Iveta Palečková participates on the 14th International Conference - Data Envelopment Analysis held on 23- 27 May 2016 in Wuhan, China. She presents contribution on the topic of efficiency of the banking sector in Bulgaria and Romania using dynamic DEA approach. Iveta moreover attends the workshop on new approaches to the DEA model.
International conference Business and Management 2016 was held in Vilnius (Lithuania) on 12 - 13 May 2016. Department of Finance and Accounting was represented by two contributions: "Product-Level Analysis of Relationship between Czech Koruna and Czech Foreign Trade" (Jana Šimáková) and "Cost Efficiency of the Czech and Slovak Banking Sectors: An Application of the Data Envelopment Analysis "(Iveta Palečková).
The study called „Volatility of yields of government bonds among GIIPS countries during the sovereign debt crisis in the euro area“, has been published in current number of EQUILIBRIUM. The journal is published by Polish Economic Society Branch in Toruń in partnership with the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. It is listed in ERIH+ scientific database. The authors are Tomáš Heryán and Jan Ziegelbauer, the Banking Master’s student at Silesian University in Opava, School of Business Administration in Karviná.
Within the International Week in Hungary, the event organized by University of Szeged, Tomáš Heryán had three lectures connected with issues of banking, EU credit markets and changes on the selected financial markets in context with current situation in the EU. Among 21 students who had been attended his lectures, there were not only the students from Hungary, but also from Spain, Italy, France, Turkey, Serbia, and even from CZ! He attended also two workshops focused on innovations in international co-operation as well as a higher level of teaching the international students.
